Planning

Every project requires planning. Whether you are doing a addition to your home  or starting a large multi-phased project, proper planning will help to insure success.  The following are some basic items to consider when planning a project:

  • Define project scope and needs

  • Determine what obstacles or limitations may be encountered to complete the projects (Ie. Permitting, Geotechnical, Regulatory, etc…)

  • Develop preliminary budget and schedule

  • Compare with the overall future development

TVCE can assist in all types of planning to fit the needs of the project.  This can range from a short consultation to a comprehensive report. We have the experience and tools necessary for performing this type of work.

Planning Includes:

  • Developing concept plans to visually represent the project and assist in project development

  • Prepare preliminary budget and schedule to determine project viability

  • Perform field studies as necessary

  • Develop a plan for overall project completion and implementation

Project Design

In general it incorporates all of the work required to be performed prior to start of construction. All projects are unique, but TVCE has compiled a list of items necessary for a typical project.

MAPPING

Almost every project requires some form of mapping.  This can range from a simple plot map showing location of a proposed project along with relations to existing facilities, to a full scale topographic survey with scaled detail of all grades and existing facilities. This work consists of transforming the physical world into a digital format for use in developing the project documents. Whatever the needs, TVCE has the experience and tools to complete the task.

SITE INVESTIGATIONS

All projects employ some term of site investigations to determine the viability and limitations of a particular project. This can range form review of published data to fall on field investigations. Typical investigations include soils, botanical, cultural, etc…TVCE regularly works with professionals capable of performing these services.

PERMITTING

In order to facilitate completion of a project, TVCE will review requirements for permitting with oversight agencies. This may require additional field work and engineering as necessary.

DRAFTING

Drafting of plans requires the production of scale documents that show the work to be completed.  These documents can vary on complexity, but are generally required to provide sufficient views and details to complete construction.  TVCE has drafters with experience in both civil and architectural projects, and can complete projects of almost any scale.

ENGINEERING

Engineering is the process of utilizing all of the information gathered to provide a project that is technically accurate, complies with appropriate codes and regulations, and meets the overall needs of the project. This often includes engineering calculations (structural , hydraulic , earth volumes, ect.), technical details to drawings, and specification of appropriate materials.

CIVIL ENGINEERING

Our civil engineering services encompass planning, design, construction support, and maintenance of essential public and private infrastructure. STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING

We provide comprehensive structural engineering services tailored to the unique demands of each project. Using advanced structural analysis software, we produce detailed calculations, reports, and construction-ready plans. GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERING

WATER RESOURCES ENGINEERING

We provide planning, design, and management of water supply and stormwater systems, including treatment, storage, transmission, and distribution. Construction Management

Construction admin is the providing of services during construction.  These services generally center around assisting that the project meets the required standards of quality, fits within the project budget, and conforms the the project schedule.  These are the services TVCE regularly offers during construction.

CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT

Management of construction projects consists of  oversight of the project as a whole in order to make sure that the ultimate goals of the project are met. This often includes contractor oversight , review of work performed , processing of contract change orders, scheduling and payment oversight, coordination with owner and other entities, and contract close out. TVCE  staff has extensive experience in construction management that will help to provide a successful project.

MATERIALS TESTING

Testing of construction materials is often required during construction. TVCE has the equipment, resources, and personnel necessary to provide for materials testing during construction.

CONSTRUCTION INSPECTIONS

Inspections are often necessary in order to confirm construction quality and verify progress. At TVCE we have the appropriate personnel and resources to perform all on site inspections.   

CONSTRUCTION STAKING

TVCE has the experience, personnel, and tools to provide Construction Staking for a project.  To perform this work we will assess the needs of  the contractor, and layout the work in the most efficient way possible to avoid construction delays and miscommunication.
